What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi. I'm doing a DIY divorce
Sent in the completed Application for divorce, and paid in full
Straight forward divorce, no children or funds to separate,
Received papers stamped and acknowledged received and posted to recipient on 26th June, 2018. heard nothing and contacted the ex Respondent who tells me he returned it within the allotted time of 8 days that they gave him. Haven't heard anything since then, nothing and now we are approaching October,
If the respondent said he returned it what can I do now, should it be taking this long?? Where do I go from here, tried emailing them but just got a waiting time list by return.
I feel stuck st this point

I found that phoning the court was easiest, they were always very helpful.
