DIY DIVORCE was created by sparkles71
I had been married for 14 years when in 2005 we split up and agreed to divorce....well I opted for the 2 year wait and started divorce proceedings in February 2008....my petition was REFUSED as it was too mild!! so now I am having to start over again!! and his acknowledgement has just been returned to the court....I thought this way would be fast and hassle free, but it has been more stressful and slow than any divorce I know....the court seems to forever be losing the documents!! I feel like pulling my hair out....my 6 kids have taken things really well and are happy...so that is good...am I the only one to have problems with a DIY Divorce?? :S

Erm..............

I dunno what you did - but I suspect you put in unreasonable behaviour????? The whole idea of a 2 year wait is so you can use 2 year separation, which is all you have to cite.

Best thing to do is get the petition amended.

Hun

You dont need any other grounds than \"The petitioner and the Respondent have lived separately since XXX date\".

If you post what you did put in we can help you sort it.
