Prayers was created by BiTTeR_AnD_TwIsTeD
Hi,

Just another question (hopefully someone can answer this one ... )

On the petition, the prayers are there to leave open the path to ancillary relief, maintenance etc. If you wish to apply for them after the nisi. Is that right ?

As this does not apply to me, is it alright for me to cross out all of them apart from the one that says 'that the said marriage be dissolved' ?

hi bitter,
actually you can apply for Ar as soon as the petition is in ,you do not have to wait for nisi.
AR does not mean that you are applying for maintenance just that now you can start the financial proceedings.I would not cross this off as I am sure there is something in form of asset you have in commn.g
good luck

Thank you for your thoughts marriaa,

Well, this is why I asked, you see I would not be applying for any AR or maintenance and as I am the one filing the petition I thought I should cross them off.
Do you think that if I cross them off mty stbx would not be able to apply ?

Thank you in advance

Hi there

DONT CROSS THEM OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No matter who files the form A you need those orders too - and if you cross any of them out, you need leave of the court to apply. Just leave them all there - they have no consequence left in.

Sorry, could someone please clarify if I have to put anything in the prayer:

(2) Costs
That the xxxxx may be ordered to pay the costs of this suit

I will not be asking my stbx to pay, do I leave it blank ?
