Court costs - who pays? was created by Saval
Hi!

I have a question regarding the court costs when handing in the divorce petition. From what I have understood one has to include a cheque of £300 with the petition.

My confusing came from the part in the prayer (on form D8) where you can state that the respondent pays the costs (I'm using adultery as a reason).

How does that work? Do I pay first and then get the money back? :S

Many thanks :)
