The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

The children have all, in their own ways, expressed their views:

15yo: hates him, is angry at what he has seen and heard, wants nothing to do with him whatsoever.

7yo: is adamant that he does not want to stay with him overnight. He is afraid - he says he is scared to tell him no in case he gets angry with him.

5yo: a more watered down of how the 7yo views things - wants "her bed", her house and her mum.

fluffy - thank you so much. Pretty much how it seems to be - a drunk, drug taking father seems to rise above the genuine care that a child is entitled to - it seems ridiculous to me.
Funny - that when we have children we want what's best for them, protect them, make sure they do their homework etc. We certainly wouldn't let an alcoholic druggie take them off for the afternoon to the park (and certainly not without us there) - oh, but we should be more than prepared to do just that if he is their father. Hey ho.
