just had my mediation with my wife over finances handed over £120 each!!!! complete wast of time the guy never spoke unless i asked him !! USELESS just shrugged his shoulders!!!!!! spoke to my wife outside and we both agreednot to bother with that process again ,maybe it works for some but not me..
This doesn''t bode well .
I am waiting to go to mediation but am waiting for my pension info .
I am glad to hear you can go in for 121 as I cannot be in the same room as STBX .
His solicitor is pushing me to hurry up with mediation and Iam not feeling emotionally ready to face this ust yet .
Will I be forced to go sooner rather than later or will they just have to wait for my pension info to arrive ?
Is there any point in going to an initial meeting without all the financial info?
Scary, the 121 is just an initial ''consultation'' for the mediator to explain the process and have a bit of a chat before they bring you together. This only happens in the first meeting, after that they bring you together every session. Thats the point to it although it doesnt work for quite a few!
Even if no agreement is reached at mediation if you go through the process you should have a better idea, of what can be agreed, what might be agreed and what the outstanding issues are. That can save both time and money exchanging solicitor letters.
