Have just had my MIAM meeting & mediator thinks we will be able to sort things out via mediation rather than courts

Do I apply for my nisi now or do i wait till after our 1st joint mediation session?

You need the Decree Nisi in place in order to have a legally binding financial settlement. It is the Decree Absolute that finally ends the marriage (and activates the terms of any court order re finances).
Given the delays in the courts caused by Covid, it is probably a good idea to apply for the Decree Nisi ASAP.
