What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

I chose a fixed fee package, basically gave me a 30 pound reduction in hourly rate but most important for me was knowing what fees I would be facing so have had time to save the cash to pay up.If fees less than amount paid the difference is refunded but most unlikely as x has caused so much aggro outside of what was covered.BUT all fees have to be paid upfront also itemised invoices received of all work done and the subsequent fees charged.Cannot name my sol on here but there are plenty who are very good out there.I looked them up on the net and read what they had to offer.Went for a Resolution member.hope this helps
