What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi every body, can any of wiki members provide any info or comments on what is considered as negligence by solicitors towards a client. Any contribution would be much appreciated.

Thank you all.

"A breach of duty that causes financial loss" could be one definition but it is quite difficult to answer your question without details.

Claims in negligence are difficult to prove and even when proved, the loss suffered is notoriously difficult to assess.

Thank you Charles would be nothing filing a summon for pension sharing is one of them, as it would have caused a great financial loss.
