What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Our consultant service offers expert advice and support to help you reach agreement on a fair financial settlement quickly, and for less than a quarter of the cost of using a traditional high street solicitor.

My wife has not supplied accounts for her 2business also not supplied pays slips or a p60 + other thing requested on form E , will the judge take a dim view of this as it was her idea to take it to court.

Hi this could almost be me writing this post! I am in an identical position where my stbx has filed for divorce and then after a long hard struggle to receive the E forms we finally exchanged and all he has sent is bank statements! no p60s, pensions no books for his 2 businesses- I can only conclude his books are '' not as they should be'' and he has forgotten to pay any tax and NI contributions! As far as I am aware the judge will not take kindly to this and I can insist on these documents are produced! this does not help us with getting our questions answered in the short time we have to put to the courts- hopefully some-one on here can advice what happens next? Good luck x
