From the very first contact over the phone with Nicola she had a great combination of knowledge, assertiveness and empathy..... with an overriding ‘human touch’. This came at a time I really just needed to hear clearly how I was going to get prepped for my Final Hearing. Probably the 3 biggest things Nicola helped me with were: 1. supporting me with a ‘mini’ hearing over mortgage capacity in November...... my anxiety was through the roof and I had been so very ill & was recovering from Covid. 2. Writing up my S25..... this was crucial to my case and Nicolas expectations of what she needed from me and her re working it so the Judge had a very clear picture was second to none. 3. Introducing me to Tom Tyler an excellent Barrister I used during my Final Hearing. Simply cannot thank her enough - thank god there are option for Litigants in Person at a more reasonable cost..... thank you doesn’t quite feel enough.

Ruth from wikivorce helped me at a time when i felt crushed by an expensive lawyer who cost me a fortune but did not get me to decree nisi in 4 months, I was so traumatized i just had to trust her and pay her until I reached double the cost of her initial estimate. I had a PTSD and i spoke to various lawyers and could not find a way forward. I called wikivorce and someone spoke to me for an hour. I had lost all sense of hope and then I had someone who would actually help me, I then spoke to Ruth who listened to me and offered support, she emailed me, supported me and helped me in every way she could for free. There is no registry of good lawyers but Brethertons would be at the top of that list. No other online divorce site would support me in the way that Wikivorce and Ruth has done. Some other online sites which i expected to be similar i thought were exploitative. The government site on divorce is helpful also. It's worth having the knowledge.

At a fraction of the cost, Nicola was able to constructively suggest a fairer way to separate out our finances, which has improved the outcome of the settlement considerably.
