Very helpful when your world is crashing around you to get unbiased free help and advice 

Ruth gave me the advice which I had in my head that I could not put into words in order to stop them going around like a stuck record.

After a 90 minute session with a local solicitor I came away with a recommendation that I was uncomfortable with, certainly finance wise om my part and both of us. 

I have browsed the internet for a few weeks trying to work out how move forward, I had a plan with flaws and Ruth gave me confidence that there will always be flaws and with an amicable wife we can find a way through this. I'll definitely be using Wikivorce to move forward.

The fact that this is a social enterprise assures me that profit is not the main motive. The advisers are very caring and I am much happier giving this organisation my business.

Paid the £195 for three hours advice from divorce consultant Nicola Phipps, this included one telephone consultation, and thereafter several e mail communications. Having previously paid a solicitor £220 ph I was delighted with the service I received from Nicola who helped me shape the financial settlement and consider all angles, until that point I had been overwhelmed with the different information provided by others. Her advice has been the turning point for me after several months in trying to get to grips with what is a terribly difficult and confusing process. 

A draft proposal was drawn up following our discussions and from which I was able to make a financial offer to my husband and this has now been agreed and I am using the on line Consent Order service. It has been the best £200 I have spent in this process, my only regret being that I did not use this sooner. 

I think the difference was that she was able to explain in simple and understandable language the process and what may be deemed a reasonable settlement, her response time too was excellent.

Was asking on behalf of a partner. Some good sensible, practical advice that enabled us not to be bullied by the respondents solicitors. If there is a justice in this country we shall be ok and if there isn't well we may as well all give up, Couple of real gems in the replies.
