hi,

i am just about to receive my Absolute, i am an athlete specialised in gymnastics, i live in a small village and i would like to invite the local community (neighbours that i dont know) for morning runs once or twice a week.

i basically just want to meet people (doesnt matter what age or gender), i feel thats the only thing i can offer.

do you think thats a good idea or should it try something else?

basically my problem is that since i got married i alienated all my friends and stopped seeing them, now i am completely on my own, no friends none to talk to.

Hi

Think its a fab idea! Im sure others will appreciate you taking the initiative and starting something new in the village.

Let us know how you get on?

I think it is a brilliant idea and hope it works for you. I applaude you for taking the initiative and doing something positive to get to know people. What part of the country do you live in? I wish you all the best.

i live in Gloucestershire, its a great place to run with picturesque views.

i am trying to put my life on track by meeting new people, i have a gym at home but i still go to the local facility once week.

I think it is really important to get out there and be sociable and you are doing well to identify the problem and act on it. I live too far away unfortunatly but I am sure there will be many who would love to have someone to take them out and inspire them to become fitter.

I also think as you mentioned that you alienated from your previous friends, that you should consider getting back in touch with them.

I done the same thing and after the seperation I made efforts to get back in touch and it was quite rewarding to do so. True friends are always going to be your friend and will understand what happened.
