HI guys.
I have just bought a new tent for me and the kids today.
I have a caravan as well but I wanted to give the kids as much 'fun' and experience as poss, so I took them camping last year to wales, weather wasnt brilliant but we had a great time, did get to go in the sea body boarding before coming home.
I decided the tent wasnt big enough so just got a bigger one.
Wondered if anyone was interested in joining up, weekends being in sync obviously, thinking of going to one of a couple of sites near ashbourne, which is quite central, one has a pool indoors, looking like one of first couple of weekends in june or may 14-15?
I have girl 7 and boy 4 and me and partner, she doesnt do camping! lol
Anyone interested drop me a message, I think it would be great to get a few together one weekend.

Peak District is beautiful. Unfortunately my camping experience extends to driving the kids to and from music festivals.
Besides, if I were to sleep on a cold groundsheet, I may never get up again.

Is your partner staying in an hotel whilst you and the kids camp? Didn't understand that bit.

Obviously not for me, but I would have thought for many others who wish to make friends.
Maybe state how much £per night camping. What you intend to do over the weekend etc. Sell it to 'em Bobbin.

Oky doky.
Not sure on price but not cheap sites, prob about 25 a night which is a lot for a tent, but that's how it is on these sites, especially as one has a pool.
Not far from gulivers kingdom which is great for younger kids.
Alton towers not far too but more expensive, might do something like this in the future.
The sites have plenty of play areas etc and there are places like matlock near and Ashbourne is nice, carsington water for a free day out, if there is one with kids!
You can cycle round carsington and the pub knocker down is family friendly.
My partner isn't going she doesn't do camping...
Would be great to chill out on site with BBQ etc and put the kids to bed when they either drop or you can't see them anymore cos its getting dark...
Either way that will be me done for anyhow...

Sounds fab, Bobbin :)

I dont drive, so camping is out for me - but if anyone would like to go but doesnt have a tent, I have a four-man dome tent (it has a high "living" central area, with a 2 person bell either side) that Im willing to loan out - its in great condition and only been used a few times :)
