Friends have invited me to their daughters birthday party... Stbx and my daughter will be there and lots of friends. For the first time in shed I think I can cope with the situation. Happy to go.
Now.. Fancy dress with a pop star theme and a lAck of spare funds is an issue. Thinking of making something but lacking ideas???

Any thoughts anyone?

Hi esox11,

If other friends will be there, could you suggest teaming up with two of them and going as " The Rat Pack ".
If you''ve got suits, all you may neeed is matching bow ties, matching hankies in the top pocket, one of you could wear a trilby, One could wear his shirt open with the bow tie undone, a bit of bling (ring or neckchain);), a cigar (fake of course). Polish you shoes with that high gloss stuff, gel your hair back 50''s style...

Have fun whoever you go as.

LG xXx

Alice Cooper is fairly easy to do if you can get a black wig. Assuming you dont have long black hair already.

I did Jim Morrison a few years ago, brown wavy wig, borrowed leather trousers, whits shirt, cowboy boots (which I own anyway) and a big concho buckle belt. Total costs was not much more than £15 if memory serves.

Boy George

Or if you really want to make them pay attention get a long blonde wig and go as Bonnie Tyler
