When you say "he ran up loads of debts" were these debts during the marriage or after?

Both, probably mostly towards the end of the marriage, and has gone on a spending spree since we split, all on credit cards in his name.

Spending spree as in had to buy things to furnish his place as he left everything in the MH?

Im not sure what this would be classified as- but he has a good chance of pushing for martital debt.

My STBX tried saying I racked up loads on our credit card as it was ''just in my name''. All the cards were like this but she still used them. I got 18 months worth of statements and was able to prove that it was actually her who racked up the debt.

If it was careless spending, it will show on statements= but this will only be case if it were after he left.

Thanks for the reply about debt, but to be honest I have no worry about him trying to prove I benefitted from any of it. It has all been to fund his lifestyle and I have not benefitted in anyway. I''m not so much concerned with this aspect of things, more the FMH.

He is living with his girlfriend so no need for new furniture, however they obviously have ''needed'' lots of new holidays etc, which will of course be shown to be after we split up, or towards the end before I found out about her.

Ahhhh.. be very careful with accusations on that front as well. My stbx accused me on ''lavishly'' funding my girlfriend and taking her on holidays. Fed up of this utter nonsense my girlfriend produced her bankstatement and credit card statements which listed all holidays paid for, and the amount of cash used on my card over-seas when her bank stopped her card as fraud prevention.

Do you have children? if so what ages...
This is the key to how much cash you get and your ''entitlement''

Hi whenwillitend

Welcome to Wiki, your situation does not sound to dissililar to mine and I have just been to final hearing.

Do you live in London? How much would a 2 bed property cost in the school catchment?
