Consent Order

Hi....after 2 years of using all of your experiences, questions and responses I am so so close to finalising my own divorce..! Self representing hmmm its been a roller coaster

I have a question though...my ex has made me an offer I want to accept - I really don''t want to go to court for our final trial (a week today) ...and don''t feel I will gain anything from it...but accepting the offer will give me a whole lease of life!

If I accept the offer and transfer the house to him within the 56 days when does the payment of monies happen?

Do I need to wait for the house to be transferred into his name?

Can I request that 50% of the payment be made within 10 days (as I know he has the cash?) I am wanting to reduce the interest payments on the liabilities so its a reasonable request I feel.

Nothing is set in stone until that order is sealed by court, even if you had the order drafted today it wont be sealed in time before your last hearing, what you could do assuming the order is drafted is attend the hearing and ask the judge to seal it.
