Am I likely to have to pay spousal maintenance?

Hi looking for some advice.

I earn £2700 per month of which I pay £550 in child maintenance.

This figure is a combination of that reccomended by the CSA of £440 and an extra £110 voluntary contribution which I make to cover the cost of school based clubs, trips, activities, etc.

My stbx receives a min of £800 per month from part time work,a min of £1000 in working and child tax credits, together with the £550 a month I pay towards child maintenance.

We have 3 children (under the age of 10) who spend a minimum, of 2.5 nights per week with me,the remainder with their mother.

We have already settled on a 60/40 split of assets.

This is currently a theoretical question,as we have almost agreed on the terms of a Consent Order,on the rest but I fear that she is pushing to see if I will pay more so just testing if what we have arrived at sounds fair?

You are already paying sm in the form of voluntary payments for cm!

I dont think on your income you would be expected by a court to pay much if anything in the form of sm.

Thank you.

I`ve just done some sums.

My mortgage is considerably more than hers due to me having 25% equity on her property, she has 50%,and I have much higher fuel travel costs due to me having to relocate to a cheaper area.

I`m pretty certain that our disposable income is similar and that based on need she is well covered by my contributions.

All useful stuff to bear in mind I suppose if she kicks back.
