Agree with everything.
Another reason he might have decided not to start proceedings, is that once proceeding start you can apply for mps. Which is why you SHOULD apply for a divorce. Mps -maintentence pending suit - is where the higher earning party has to pay the lower earning party maintenece just until their finances and assets have been sorted. Which is the way you might be able to pay the bills until either you find a job or things have been sorted permenently. You can''t apply for mps until you have filed for divorce, so he might be delaying for this reason. Until divorce is filed, you have no way of forcing him to pay you maintentence.

Good luck this afternoon!

UPDATE

Been to solicitors and filed for divorce!!!
Scary but glad I have done it.

She was so nice and very practical, explained everything so well, feel very confident in her. Explained the best way to go about things to keep costs down.

So proceedings have been started so I guess it''s watch this space. One thing did confuse me though, she said although I was filing on nthe grounds of adultery and even if stbx admitted it I might not recover costs?
Is this right, it was the only thing I wasn''t sure of.

Julie I am so proud of you, my super star :)

Your solicitor is right to tell you that costs might not be recoverable because it depends on many factors but don''t worry about that now, she is doing her job to protect you. Hope you can switch off tonight. thinking about you and its ok to do what we discussed earlier.
Massive hug

Thankyou NWTT
Feeling more relaxed now I have done something myself instead of waiting for things to be done to me.
I have bought a bottle of wine and am going to watch a favourite programme in the company of my three springer spaniels.
Thanks so much for your support xxx
