I have been trying to claim Employment and Support under Special Circumstances due to my current.

I called this week again and they will send Social Services?? or Medical Team??..to visit me at home.

Im 58yrs, receive DLA only, Respondant in divorce proceedings, no children involved.

Any info I should have ready, such as documents? What happens with these home visits?

The trouble is, I have not '' done '' CAB for seven years or so and I am sure a great deal of water has flowed under this particular bridge.

I don''t think it can do any harm if you ring them. The award of DLA can often have a spin off effect on other benefits.

You have very little to lose by making the call.

Thx LMM

Im informed on CAB and DLA,

In my circumstances currently and my claim for E&A since last year(previously Income Support I think) ''''they'''' are visiting my home in next few days.

I dont know if ''''they'''' are Social Services or a Medical Team.

Just dont know what happens with these home visits. What kind of questions they ask, what do they look for around the house, etc.

I am so grateful that ''''they'''' are eventually coming or at least doing something about my claim.

It is actually ESA not E and A - if you do an online search for ESA there is a lot of information available

hahaha...Linda E, yes its ESA, in my original post I gave the full name, other day I said FH instead of MH..now I mention my house in post..Im not English speaking and all these initials is new to me but Im getting there, thanx for making me laugh.

I have been trying to claim ''''income support'''' since 2009 (ESA)and they paid my NI credits? only (helps with future state pension?)have done forms/medicals about 5x 2010,2011,score 18points,forms/medicals March 2012 done, but Jan 2012 I applied for ESA3 special circumstances, I have never received money in hand from them and I cant support myself on daily basis, called June and last week again to follow this up as my situation is critical.

I became ill and disabled in 2006 and only claimed 3yrs later in 2009, when I was trying to get away from my husband and be able to divorce and support myself, have been receiving DLA since 2009 (Highest Mobility) and have only been dealing with DLA and ESA.

I have always been anti benifits but have no other choice or options and have to go on benifits.
''''They'''' are coming to visit me in next few days. I dont have a problem or panic about this visit, I have nothing to hide and what I have claimed is the truth.
For me this is better as I know they might have problems understanding ''this woman'' with her way of speech and what they are reading on my forms.

So I will be asking many questions on benifits, stbx is moving on Saturday, I have only received Petition as yet.

Income support is not ESA - you are confusing two different benefits
