hi
to update on this have received letter from cafcass for an appointment on 4 september at 9.30 am and to take my son with me, was hoping the appointment with my son would be outside school hours so it would not effect his attendence as he has 100% for the last few years while its just been me and him.

will give more updates as things happen

hi
to update, went to meeting at cafcass today all seemed to go well, officer said she had met x 2 days ago and asked what my concerns are, i explained these and the way she was talking i got the feeling she will not be recommending overnights to the courts and will be in fact recommending that contact should be restricted to every 2nd saturday and for less time then at present, she also had a meeting with my son and when it was finished she complimented me on how well i was bringing up my son and how well mannered he was, just got to wait for 23rd now to see what happens in court. Will give more updates as things happen

Just read your story and I am so glad everything seemed to go well with cafcass. Fingers crossed everything goes well in court.

Very good luck to you and your son x

in court tomorrow so should have a better idea of whats happening.

x phoned son last night to tell him she was at her solicitors for 3 hours yesterday to talk about tomorrows hearing, son told her it doesn't matter what court says, it's upto him if he wants to go overnight and hes told her that he doesn't, she told him he has to do what the court says and her sol has told her the courts always side with the mother and give them what they want.
will just have to see what judge has to say tomorrow

I would wish you good luck but it sounds as though the facts speak for themselves and chance won't come into it. Best wishes and please let us know how you get on.

hi
been to court today and was given cafcas report just prior to hearing, cafcas have much greater concerns then i had raised and their recommended that no over nights and restricting contact and if contact had not already been in place would of recommended that contact not happen, but felt removing it now would be unsettling to our son.

x solicitor asked for a section 7 report to be done, this was granted and we will be back in court in december, but in the meantime contact is set at 4 hours every second saturday with conditions that he must not be taken to her flat and have no contact with her partner, if this happens i am to stop contact immediatley and inform my solicitor.
