Cafcass report is due tomorrow and I don't know what to expect. Will it be short, long, brief detailed. Can anyone give me a clue what to expect?

Woman said she would tell me when ex had been interviewed but I never heard from her and am hoping that it doesn't mean she has not not seen her.

Thanks

don't hold your breath! Been waiting for mine for months now - date for completion changed 3 times. Stbx not been seen - not clear at this point if that is his fault or theres. We are in court for directions on Friday where the head honcho of local office has been ordered to attend to explain herself. Meanwhile, my stbx gets away with calling me a slag in front of my children. Nice.

oh dear. Sorry your ex is being an a hole.

Report should have been done by end of Aug but put back 6 weeks so I hope it won't go back further. Would I have heard if it was put back again?

well so far the report has not shown up today. I will have to chase the court to see if they have it.

Can anyone let me know what the report will cover etc. It was written due to contact problems.

Thank you

my report turned up on the day of the court hearing for directions, it was about four pages long and the officer stated that i should not have shared res as i acted beligerantly towards my nasty ex, officer did not understand our situation but she did recommend my daughters 10 and 6 yrs spend 3 overnights per week with me and half the holidays, ex wont agree so she made up some false allegations about me and it's still dragging on through the courts.
good luck and be patient.

did your report ever arrive? I went to court for an urgent directions on Friday - CAFCASS officer stated that the person who had been assigned to our case (agency worker) will no longer be used and they have reported her to her professional body for misconduct. We are now due a report on 14th January - bearing in mind it was first ordered on 1st April (an April fool indeed!).

In meantime, we are to attend a Relate co-parenting course which I am sure will hve no affect whatsoever on stbx's behaviour but worth a try, eh?!

report is in.

pages of lies, accusations of physical and emotional abuse from the ex. Basic facts about ages and dates given to officer wrong.

but the terrible thing is that the officer has agreed with the ex that if my son does not want to see me, without really giving a concrete reason, just a vague I don't like his girlfriend, then he does not have to. I should write every couple of months and then maybe one year he might want contact again.

I have lost a shy, loving, beautiful 8 year old son that I used to spend so much time with forever because of a very bitter woman and a system that just couldn't see through the lies.

How will i go on never seeing him again?

The court hearing is in a week. Do I have to attend, i don't think I can cope.
