Sorry, as a father who's already had to go to the extreame of enforcing a contact order what exactly is the problem with your ex?

Whilst i appreciate he's in the uk and you're in cyprus i still can see no problem with telephone contact (as you stated it was originally over) being reinstated and it being confirmed to the court that you've complied.

If however it's something more, what exactly is going on?

As the court is Her Majesty's it would be rather barking for one arm of Her Majesty's courts to refuse to uphold or enforce the court of another, so my guess would be yes.

As per then answer on your other thread you should have taken it ack to court and pre-empt his enforcement.

The children having other activities is not a defence for why telephone contact cannot take place. Could you not have asked the children to ring him? And tell him they will ring at x time every x and x each week?

Yes but the argument will be that they do not do them 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There is no reason why with mobile phones etc that the phone cannot be passed to them at any point and say 'give your dad a ring'.

I've already seen this one acted out in court and the fact remains telephone contact could take place.

My contact order states telephone contact twice per week and physical contact alternate weekends for 4 nights and half the holidays and it was still ordered that there was no good reason despite our 10 year old son having a number of activities and hobbies etc that telephone contact should not take place. There are less excuses for telephone than physical and in view of the distance between your ex and the children it will be seen as more not less important.

The court looked at it more that my ex was trying to interfere with our son's and my relationship because she was too busy with her new partner, his son and their new life together.
