It has just been over 3 months since I have last posted any details regarding my situation. I would like to say that everything is looking posotive for the near forseeable future. I went to court in October and the judge as best as he could give at the time was very favourable on my part. I was asked to provide another drugs test which came back negative. I have good reports from my probation officer and IDAP (Intergrated Domestic Abuse Program) in which I have attended weekly and am learning how not to use voilence and abuse within a relationship when things do not go my way. I was allowed to send my son gifts/letters and his Christmas presents which had to be done through my ex's mother. I go to court again at the end of this month and it looks more than likely I will be granted supervised contact although only 2 hours every fortnight it certainly is a starting point. I have considerations to move closer to the contact centre and my ex even though I am not allowed to have contact with her. I have every wish to be closer to my son and in the long term have him at weekends. I would just like to say to anyone going through the same situation that eventually you will get what you want within reason and time and just be patient and posotive to a better future for yourself and take things as they come. Abide by the law. Take every step to get a better look at how to deal with any anger and you will feel a better person for it in the end and the next relationship you end up in you will know what to do and treat women as an equal and that your not king of the castle.

Hi Bigfoot,

great of you to come back and let us know how you're doing.

Personally I think you're an example to us all, you've accepted there were problems, faced up to them and applied yourself to dealing with them to make things better.

I'm so glad to hear it's paying off for you and think that ultimately you are going to be the sort of father your son can be proud of.

Excellent news, good luck.
