its been 3 months since our final hearing of a long winded 12 month court case and we still havent recieved the judgement with the final decision on who the kids should live with from the court!!

Utterly shocking and feeling extremely let down by the court system once again

Blimey Rachel, that is pretty awful.

Have you raised the matter with the local court manager?

Had a quick look on their web site and will PM you the Customer Service Manager's e-mail address

rachel I waited over 6 months for my first judgement...too nervous to upset anyone ...court office manager informed me that 3 to 4 weeks is the norm unless judge has indicated otherwise...he advised that if future judgements not arrived in 3/4 week timescale to call him personally and he would assist...I never waited more tha 4 weeks again :)

thanks for the comments and advice. our solicitor and the other sides solicitors have phoned and written to the court. they have been told the jusge has several judgements to write and it will be done when its done!!!

we have spent a year fighting false accusations and working wih social services to get residencey of the boys and now we have been waiting 3 months for the judge to make his final decision and let us all know as they ran out of time in court at the final hearing for the judge to give his judgement!

we are going to ring the solicitors monday and if they still get no joy from the court we are going to contact the court and push for a decision as we cant stand the waiting anymore!

rachel,

I once contacted a Sheriff (Judge) by e-mail politely stating need/reason for my seeking possible date for judgement to be available. Reply was expedient and courteous...and judgement was in the post :woohoo:

Rang the court manager today and low and behold the judge had just handed in his judgement this morning to the clerk!! They wouldnt tell us anything on the phone but it was being posted 1st class today to our solicitors so should recieve it tomorrow!! Apparently it is 10 pages long hence the delay in getingit done!!

Very anxious and nervous now ut looking forward to recieving it tomorrow and having an end to the whole situation for now!!
