Hi I have 4 children with my ex we have both moved on and have take a divorce. Each year my Cm payments are increasing due to working more overtime. Last year I was paying 580 a month for 4 children and my new amount to pay is 730 each month as I earned well over 46k last year. The Cm are looking at my weekly wage as gross.

My ex is living witg new partner and has a child with him he is also working taxis and my ex is working a cash in hand job wich is not registered.
This year alone I will be paying a total of nearly £8500 pounds in 12 months.

Iv really had enough. Me and my partner are thinking of moving out of this country. As I cant save enough to buy a house and start a new life. As my ex financial dispute is still running as she does not want to sign for Clean Break so I'm paying the court yo resolve that matter too.

My question is if we move out of UK and go to Ireland will I still need to pay Cm payments on been told the Ireland is out of the Eu now so you don't need too. Can someone please confirm or advise on this. Also if or when I return to UK to see my family or maybe after few years I decide to come back to UK will the child maintenance agency be hunting for me. I mean like could I get arrested by police. Or can the Childmaintance agency back date all.those payments and make me.pay for the amount theve been paying on my half? Please advise..

CMS is based upon gross salary.
Your payments won’t be affected by changes to your ex’s income.
You would still be liable for CM if you live in Eire.
Eire is in the EU.

You are paying to support your children, why would you want to move to a country hoping that you don't have to pay ??

You can't say I'm supporting my children when the money isn't been used on them. My ex is using the money all for herself. O would rather save the money for the children and provide for their needs. You think anyone would over work themselves and pay high amount of Cm when they know their ex is hardly spending it on his children. Its easy for CM. To say you have to pay. But they don't go into depth and check where the money is being used and hows it spent. Dont mis understand my post I wasn't running from paying child maintance id rather save it myself for them. Clearly my ex is living her life getting benefits and working cash in hand job undercover. But thats not any of my business right.
