Advice please, my 17+yr old wants to live at my address, she has a year left at college also works part time (Less than 20 hrs) but has had enough of her mother and her unreasonable behaviour, screaming/shouting for no good reasons. I pay the ex child maintenance using the Gov online tool.
How do I change over this situation so my daughter is legally living at my address and that my ex wife pays child maintenance for the remainder of time until my daughter finishes college ?

Apply for child benefit.

Inform CMS child now lives with you.

Agree how much child maintenance your ex will pay you or make an application to CMS.

Don’t be surprised if your daughter changes her mind again. Teenagers are fickle creatures!

Morning, thanks for the reply and the advice. Eldest daughter will be off to Uni 2nd yr that leaves youngest daughter on her "own and out gunned" so to speak. She is experiencing threats of violence from her mother and partner usually with alcohol involved. The belittling and verbal abuse have escalated ( 4 a few yrs now) and both girls want out asap. Solicitor has been contacted and advised child protection/police involved. Both girls are bright and have got direction. Thanks for your help ?.
