It is not a small amount, over 18 years it will be 8640 assuming the salary is the same

CSA is calculated on net pay. Deductions after tax are not P11D BIK and cannot be excluded from net pay for CSA calculations.
If you received them as BIK and you were taxed on them as shown on your P11D they would not be included in the CSA calc.

Well it is clear from the payslip what are the taxable benefits. Surely I received them after tax. The point is the CSA counted them as if I had received them in cash.

What I meant was that if you have to pay for the ''benefits,'' even if they are not optional, you can''t exclude them from the CSA calc.
I understand that the new CSA method will be to calculate on gross pay including P11D BIK. It will not make your situation any better, but it will cause many to pay more.
I also understand that the new CSA will have to be self funding which will be realised by deducting a percentage of the maintenance from both payer and receiver. Better to have a voluntary arrangement...

Do you mean I would need to pay 15% from gross 4333, that is, 650?? We do not pay through CSA, I pay via standing order on my bank account, but CSA calculated how much I should pay two years ago. I did not dispute and paid whatever was needed to avoid any conflicts. But now I am not sure, I am struggling financially, living in debt.

The new rules are supposed to come in this year for new claims. The exact details have yet to be disclosed (perhaps someone reading this can enlighten us?)
I doubt that the new system will mean 15% of gross. I hope not anyway...

Is £500 per month fair? Better question would be are you happy with it and what do you think it should be from your calculations? Decide then if it is worth rocking the boat for that amount of money.
