My husband is threatening to walk away and never see the children, so that I have to explain to them "what I did" (long story).

Can I force him to see them?:unsure:they're 5 (girl) and 2 (boy).

Short answer is, no, there is no law that forces a parent to see their children. Sorry. :(

That is so sad. Looks like our kids will grow up not knowing their father.

Did your children being as young as they are understand, Think many on here would find that hard to belive a parent can just walk away mind you i am talking from experience , my ex is not in our children's life , they are coping better than i thought they would.

It is very sad for your kids but as Angel says, they will probably cope.

Your children are so young that they will get used to not seeing their dad surprisingly quickly, and in many ways it is more his loss than theirs. I can't believe that he is suggesting that he does this to punish you. Whatever it is that 'you did', you couldn't possibly explain it to such little children, and in any case it should have no bearing on their relationship with their father. If he does walk away, I certainly wouldn't try to explain. They probably won't ask much anyway, and for the moment I would say something like, 'Daddy loves you but he can't see you at the moment', and, if they do ask why, say that you don't know.
