Im stil battling with my ex to do his contact as stated on statements of arrangements but yesterday oh boy was i shocked.
In the south we have been hit by floods and i couldnt get my son hom from school.I was extremely worried so text my ex and asked have you taken your car to work today...he didnt reply i later said i had been trying to get in touch as couldnt get our son home...even taxi drivers were going home.
What is it with the men that want contact then cant be bothered to do it shocking!

Was it a contact day for your ex?

perhaps he was unable to respond straight away to your text?

In the statemnet of arrangements he is due to pick him up twice a week.Although as Emma has said this isnt legally binding but this man made me spend a fortune for him having contact thats why i cant understand why he isnt sticking to it and letting the lad down.
He did see the text yesterday and its not the first time this has happened.
When we were together he even ignored a call from the school to say his son was poorly and needed picking up.
The problem seems to be his work but surely our child needs come first.
I work too butstill have to pick our son up and take him to many apts.

Hi BC.... Very frustrating. maybe In extenuating circumstances perhaps he was unable to reply...: If it was his contact day though I wld expect him to make an effort make contact you or child unless his circumstances do not permit.

Anyway be prepared for worse scenarios in the future they will happen.... And you will get more frustrated....

I can''t remember the last time I actually spoke to my stbx re contact probably months ago and that was bty text. or solicitor ... I get no explanation wen he just doesn''t turn up!!

I know it seems unfair wen these things happen, I used to get really annoyed & still do. etc.. but for your own sanity you could avoid the stress if you take charge of situation yourself.

Good luck
;)

Nowhere near as shocking as those of us who want contact, can be bothered to do it,but can''t get it because of our corrupt system.

Joe... I sympathise with you and wish there were more like you. Very unfair if you''re not getting the contact you want. I hope you get sorted soon. Best wishes.
