communicate with father of my child in emergency. there was a Consent Order saying that if i need to contact my ex it would only be for our child in emergency. I had to communicate for sake of my child for her well being. need to rearrange contact of my child with dad at contact center for my daughters safety and comfort she is just two years old. i am very worried now if i did right thing by communicating with him for my daughter. is this against law?

Obviously there is no general prohibition in law against former spouses contacting their ex''s or their children.

So the issue is , exactly what the terms of the contact order are. If you can post the exact terms ( and I mean the exact terms, word for word ) I or someone else might be able to advise.

it says that the court has accepted cross undertakings from parties in relation to the orders by applicant (that is me).
that there shall be no direct contact between parties by any means. Only in case of emergency there can be contact between parties in relation to the child only.

You need to rearrange contact through the courts or a solicitor rather than directly unless it a real emergency eg car crash or emergency hospital admission etc.

If he will not be sensible in communication it is best to avoid it. Mine is a nightmare, not being able to talk impacts on contact but hey ho his loss.
