Has anyone had any luck getting the barristers fees reduced?
I was expecting the bill to be a lot lower than it is. I''m hoping I can get it reduced...if anyone has any experience of this?

What was the cost of the bill? What were you billed for and did you not receive a list of costs before being represented. When I have used a Barrister I have always been given a rough estimate of costs before instructing them - did they not advise you of their costs?
