Hope someone can help.
After many attempts we have finally managed to get a Consent Order drawn up and is ready to be sent to court. My question is how long is it likely to be before we get it sealed by the court. I am having to sell family home as am unable to afford to stay and have a buyer ready to exchange but dont want to go ahead in case Consent |Order is not approved. On the other hand don't want to lose buyer in current unsteady housing market. Any ideas
Thanks

Hi Lorian,

I would suggest in the first instance you simply ring the court and just ask the clerk if he/she can give you a rough indication of the timescale likely to get a consent order signed off through the court if the judge accepts it. The clerks tend to be all knowing and can usually give you an estimate of the time the courts are currently taking to get through things.

Regards, Sarah

Thanks for that, will give them a call. had a bit of good news today though, my buyer wants to wait till July to complete on sale so gives me a bit more time. Thanks again.

Once the CO is submitted to court it will take two to three weeks.
