Not sure if this is in the right place.

Basically, my stbx didn''t bother to send back the Acknowledgement of Service so I applied for bailiff service. This was effected last week.

If he does not return the AoS this time, what happens?

Thank you xxx

If the bailiff reports back with a successful service, you can use that to apply for Decree Nisi - no acknowledgement is required.

Thank you Charles. I have been told today that he has actually returned the Acknowledgement of Service by recorded delivery.

Just got to wait for the next stage now :)

Once you have the acknowledgement you have to apply for the next stage, it doesn''t ''happen''. Simply put, you lodge a Petition, you apply for the decree Nisi then you apply for the Decree Absolute.
