I am the Applicant and also litigant in person with First Appointment on 18 Sep 2020. As per the court order the preliminary documents are due on 3 Sep 2020. My ex has a solicitor.

I am not sure whether I would take a barrister with me on the day or not.

So far I have prepared my Statement of Issues, Chronology, Questionnaire and Form G but not submitted yet.

I read somewhere that there is a need for Bundle. Can someone shed some light on how to prepare this?

Also, I read somewhere the bundle needs to have Form A, Court letters, form E,Statement of Issues, Chronology, Questionnaire etc and needs to be paginated etc. Can you confirm whether this list is complete or I need more documents?

Should the Bundle need to include all the bank account statements that are part of Form E etc in it?

Do each party need to submit their own bundle or should there be only one bundle?

In the event where the Respondent is represented and the Applicant is not, then Respondent is responsible for the bundle.

They should send you a bundle index ahead of the hearing. This will give you the chance to tell them if you would like something else included.

There should only be one bundle. However in fault of agreement, you may submit a supplementary bundle if they refuse to include document. However First Appointments are usually pretty standard, so you may not need to worry about this.

I would write to their solicitor soon and ask from confirmation for when they will send you the index.

Check out Practice Direction 27A and the responsibility for preparing the bundle.

You should contact the other side.

www.justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rule.../pd_part_27a#para3.1

You should also read 5.1 in relationt o what the bundle is to contain and continue reading about what the parties are meant to do to agree the bundle and lodge it.
