Does the other side have a solicitor? If yes, they would normally draft the order based on what the judge says.

If this is for First Appointment, the directions are pretty standard.

Answer questions by x date
Instructions for single joint exoerts reports - house valuation, pensions etc
Date for offers to be exchanged
Listing for FDR.

If you want to include anything in particular or there are questions you need the judge to understand the importance of, it is worth writing a short statement in support of directions sought. Questions may be struck out if they are not considered relevant.

If you need some cost effective support with the process it may be worth looking at the services offered by this site.
