I am filling out section 4.3 of my form E. I gave up my job and cared for 3 children, one severely disabled and another with a learning disability. I feel that I made a massive contribution to their care and welfare but I have no idea what I am supposed to write in the tiny space.

If you need to say more you can use a continuation sheet clearly marked with the section to which it refers and either insert it in the appropriate place on Form E or add to the end. It is worth putting the case number on it as well.

TBH you have explained your position pretty succinctly in the post. In Form E you don't need to write an essay, just your key points.

You also don't need to justify why you didn't contribute financially, especially if you had caring responsibilities. Contributions are counted as equal.
