I have really made a mess of my divorce proceedings because I have been very ill, with sick notes ect ggoing back to June last year, to date. This means I have not gone through:
Exchange of questions
mediation

My wife has gone through mediation.

I did have a solicitor until May last year but due to my illness cannot afford one now.

This morning a guy hand delivered a notice that there will be the 1st court hearing for finances on 28th Jan ie next week.

The notification of this 1st hearing went to the solicitor I was using up to last May, on 15th October last year but they have not past this on to me, my wifes solicitor will also have seen that this went to the wrong address but did nothing about it, until they sent the guy this morning.

I cant afford a solicitor but need help ASAP as dpnt understand the process & of real concern my wife is applieing for a lump sum order & a property adjustment order. This despite the house being owned 50:50 & on her form E has significantly more financial assets than I have.

Its a real mess. If anyone can point me to any free advice or help that will be great.

I realise I really need a solicitor but cant afford one & time is against me the hearing is next Tuesday.

Many thanks

Paul
