Thank you all for the very thoughtful and personal messages; they helped to put things back into perspective. Today I'm feeling calmer and more focused.

My ex followed through with having our daughter this weekend - the first time in a month - so I'm enjoying a much needed weekend to myself.

I also received my provisional degree classification, and I'm very pleased and surprised with the result, considering I nearly didn't finish because of all the divorce stress and drama - fingers crossed they don't change their minds.

How I can go from such a low place to high one, in the space of a couple of days, always disconcerts me, but I think that's just how it's going to be for a little while longer.

You are not alone in feeling this way so take heart in that.
Yes I feel down regularly and the doc has been giving me full support. My situation was made worse by the fact that she has admitted adultery with at least five people I know personally and moved in on all my friends wives so excluding my social life. THEN I STOP. I telephoned 2 friends, both now have cancer, I talk to others who are in a worse position than myself. And believe me there are plenty. I met somebody the other day and their attitude ( he lost his house and job through depression) was '' Its their loss not mine'' He is happy as larry now. At least your daughter is with you and no doubt you have her support. So you are not alone. Really you are not. Take care.
