Hi All

I have this overwhelming sadness tonite, my ex and me been divorced 3 years, I still see him every other weekend as he has the kids but its like we strangers! We had alot of years of memories and now i dont know him! sad how life changes isnt it.

His life has moved on getting married, happy, where as im still single wish I could find someone but just not happening, suppose i envy him in some ways but not in others.

Grateful i have wonderful kids just wish my life would change for the better.

Hi Caring Soul

Not knowing someone with whom almost a lifetime has been spent is a very strange feeling, I posted about exactly that the other day after seeing stbx at FDR, I really did not know him

I think the fact that you are a little envious of his moving on and being happy is only natural and the fact that you have not met someone yet is down to the fact that you are not quite ready yet. Don''t rush it, but when you are ready it will happen.

Sending big hugs your way

Hey - it''s ok to be sad. That is a pretty normal part of life. It''s not ok to always be sad or to be constantly crushed by sadness but it doesn''t sound like that''s where you are.

just wish my life would change for the better.

ok, so make it happen! Figure out what you want and then put together a plan to get there. You''re smart and capable (I can tell). Your future is in your hands. Dust yourself off and get on with it. Your life and future can be awesome. It''s up to you! Just do it...

Hi CaringSoul.

Change is a funny thing right? We need change. Change is life and life is change. Life''s ups and downs they say. But without change you wouldnt have had the kids. Or without change you wouldnt have the life you are going to have. You may curse change right now. But change gives us good and bad in cycles. Sometimes we are up and sometimes down.

But you know what a bag of revels taste like? And perhaps a banana skin or orange peel. But unless you tasted those things you would not know what they were like. Happiness is like a bag of revels and unhappiness is like eating banana skins. And you have to experience unhappiness to know what happiness is like.

Lastly. No one can make you happy. Only you can do that. So look for things in your life that can make you happy and try and focus on those things. Could be the kids. Could be a great film. Could even be a bag of revels. But what ever it is that makes you happy, immerse yourself in it. You can never rely on anyone to make you happy. Only you can do that. C.
