My last blog was filled with elation and pride, I wish I could say the same of this, but I can''t. So apologies to those who don''t want to read sad news - just look and move on.
My ex has terminal cancer with months to live. He asked me to call him last week when the consultant gave him and his current partner the news.
This week end has been so traumatic, we went from me begging the kids to visit or at least start a conversation with me about their dad to in less than 24hrs looking at saying good bye.
The good news he was discharged from hospital today, his son''s 21st birthday, and back home with his partner.
Still waiting for some contact, but understand why not.
She is lovely and the best description that I need to share with both H and Partner came from my son "mum, she''s just like you". And she is.
We have so much still to sort to make H''s end of life easier, but I know we can.
So based on legal advice I''m still married and we all need to talk about who will do what, but that for today, can wait for tomorrow.

My real thought - Don''t ask for Karma if this is what it brings....

Oh Carly,so sorry to read this((()))

Not matter what they put us through,we were with them for many many years, and we would not wish this on them.At the end of the day,you loved this man once,he is the father of your children, and also a grandfather, and all just so sad.

Your mind must be buzzing with differant thoughts and feelings, both for him, your kids and also for yourself, really feel for you all.

I certainly hope that you can all work together, and try to make these final months as okay as they can be,yes it will be hard I know, but you can do it hun.
I know that if I was in your shoes,I would look after Twonk, and also if it was role reversal he would do the same for me.

Just all so sad.

My thoughts to you all

Dear Carly

I am really sorry to read this post, how terribly sad for all of you.

How it comes, or when it comes, none of us knows for certain, but we all know that it will come one day. Try not to think too much about the karma thing, there are other more pressing and more important things to think about now.

Sending you a huge hug.

You are in my thoughts x

Hi Carly. Sorry to hear this. I am sure this is not what you expected.

This is not Karma. Many use that word as part of a revenge package. But karma really has nothing to do with revenge.

But I think its time to look forwards. Put aside all that went before as that is history. There will come a time for grieving but just concentrate on getting thru each day as best you can. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Marshy.

I''m so sorry to read your post, Carly; this must be a desperately difficult and distressing time for all your family. Take each day as it comes, as you say; tomorrow can wait.

Take Care
