recently separated after 15+ years, 2 kids, the marriage had been dead for years but I had decided to stay for the kids - I know, bad decision but I couldn't face the prospect of going through divorce. neither of us has any money for lawyers really and my wife is very bitter and resentful. So I'm trying to do as much myself to get the ball rolling but she is not cooperating. It's really taxing mentally, I find it hard to focus on work. I told my boss I was going through divorce and he is understanding so that's a plus.
It's consuming all my energy, and I'm afraid I'll lose my house and have to move to a small flat.
I guess I just wanted to get it off my chest:(

Hi authurnudge, I can relate to your stress What I will say, It comes as a shock to admit that the marriage is over. I have been married for 38 years and together 41yearsand there are times I cannot get my head round it .

I have found that some days you have an ok day and then there are days that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel but you will come through it.

You will find help and support here, many of us have been where you are, so keep posting you are not alone.

Take care
