Hi All
Would just like to ask how good this calculator is on this site...hubby walked out today ...adamant maintenance only exists when your children are young...has really brought me down..feel I cant face life..after such a long marriage...want to be amicable..but don''t see that happening.

Regards

The calculator will only give an approximate idea of any likely settlement/maintenance.
child maintenance is payable up until children leave full time education (A levels) which could be up to 19 and is a fixed percentage of the NRPs(non resident parent)income.

Hi the calculator isn''t brilliant.I had various answers from it.I''m not an expert but think your husband is wrong on the assumption that maintenance only applies if children are involved. It seems to be calculated on a lot more than that.
