My wife moved out of the family home recently and has applied for universal credit. on her account it just says "if entitled, you will be paid in x days" and she is also on a list for council house.
should I wait until she gets her first payment and the house before using the financial settlement service?
I suppose it will make a big difference because at the moment she has no income apart from what I am giving her voluntarily even though I didn't force her out of the house.
she is also in the process of claiming PIP

thanks

Do you know what she will be able to claim?, if so there is no advantage in delay, i think they have online calculators for these issues.

Generally most would advise to take advice ASAP, if the solicitor wants a bit more detail then give when you can, but get the wheels in motion first.
