Hi I am in desperate need of some advice and support. I am 47 years old and suffer with a long term neurological condition which affects my ability to work. I have worked on and of all my married life but since 2013 decided to retrain and have been in Uni studying for a degree. I am in my last year. I have two boys 11 and 15 and been married for 14 years.

I have been separated since May and husband filed divorce papers.

I am living of student loan and I am living with my mother with both my children after being forced out of the family home by husband. He is earning £58,000
Equity in property £210000. He is trying to force sale of house.

Husband is fighting for 50/50 shared care but I have been full time carer and he works full time, second child hearing on 17th Jan.

I have just attended my FDR and was not at all put at rest by ether solicitor or barrister. I am told they are going for a mesher order because of my health conditions and spousal maintenance, but I am thinking I am not going to get this an just end up with massive solicitor bill at the end of actually receiving 60/40 split on home and he will have shared care.

I have been emotionally and financially abused by him and now he has his new girlfriend and her children living in our family home, which is causing both my children and me much distress.

I have been told not to go back to family home but I am now homeless as I have outstayed my welcome at my 79-year-old mums house.

With my student loan, I can easily pay mortgage ad bills so I am very angry at the moment

Any advice would be very helpful.

I need to go down another route in regard to solicitors as I am afraid I am not going to be able to pay any more. I have already paid out £9000

As a nobody reading this I understand that you can't work for health reasons, yet are doing a degree...when you can't work?
I would have thought it needs to be decided can you work or not?
Apparently as the wife you are entitled to be in FMH..move back in, it should unsettle the ex and his new bird!
Fight your corner, get as much as you can. Anything is better than nothing?
