I'm studying the petition forms at the moment (D8, D8A) and will be filling them in over the next few days. I'm kinda curious about part (2) of the Prayer though, with regard to costs.

As Petitioner I'm happy to pay the costs, but I assume these costs only refer to court costs and not to the Respondent's legal costs as well?

As for part (3) of the Prayer - Ancillary Relief - I've read ( www.terry.co.uk/divorce6.html ) that it's best not to cross any out. However all I'm really wanting is a fair share of the proceeds from the house when it comes to be sold. Currently it is in joint names 50:50, so in actual fact I don't even need a property adjustment order... or maybe I need a Lump Sum order? If not I'm tempted to cross ancillary relief out completely - although I sense that would me madness on my part :)
