.... between filing the petition and the respondent being served?

I filed my petition on 9th May at The Family Division in London and, as yet, have heard nothing. I phoned two weeks later to be told there was a small backlog but since then, still nothing. Each time I phone, no answer - argh!!

Anyone else filed here?

I was told that it would take 1 - 2 days here where I live !! I have had the draft petition from my SOl which I need to send back and they will present at court early next week so I hoped my ex would get papers end week or early the next week.

was it 12 weeks from issuing the petition? It's driving me mad that I can't seem to get through to anyone over the phone to ask if there is a problem with the form or I've made any mistakes :(. I suppose what I'm asking is - is it normal not to hear anything for this length of time? I bought a pack with all the forms in from Lawpack and in there it stated that the respondent should receive the petition within about a week of me filing. Is that actually the case?

Sorry, rambled on a bit there! Thanks for your prompt replies

D xx
