Hi all, this is my first post and i really really need some urgent help.

I thought I was ok and doing well with all this form filling and recently submitted the following:
"Aplication for a Decree Nisi D84" and "Statement in suport of divorce D80D"

however, this morning I received a letter from the court stating: Please note that the District Judge having considered the evidence filed, is not satisfied that the Petitioner is entitled to the decree sought, because: Place of marraige does not account with marraige certificate and jurisdiction paragraph does not appear to be correct.

The Petitioner should deal with the above matters and renew the request for Directions for trial."

I realise that I may have made a mistake when copying the exact address word for word but and have proberbly ticked the wron box in the D8 -Part 3 Jurisdiction. Would someone please advise me what box I should have ticked under this section. Both my wife and I are british and were both born, raised, maried and still live in this counrty??

My second question is, how do I go about amending this information? do i have to re write the D8 and how long back is this going to set me back?

thanks you to anyone that is able to shed some light on the matter.

Regards,

Ben

Place of marriage, do as the form says, it must be as is on the marriage cert.

Jurisdiction, tick the first box the EU council bit, look down for "habitual residency" and tick that one, do not tick any other box`s in this section.

So your amending form D8first;

Write in block capitals on the top of D8 in black ink "AMENDED APPLICATION".

Strike out the wrong bits, do it right and underline the new bits in red ink.

Do D84 again, new form.

Now the kicker, you have to pay court another £90.

For anyone who reads this and thinks this is a minefield, well it is, if you can pay for a solicitor do so, as long as it is a solicitor though.

Write in block capitals on the top of D8 in black ink "AMENDED APPLICATION". -Do I need to obtain the original from the court, amed it, then send it back it or can I simply complete and submit a new D8?

Strike out the wrong bits, do it right and underline the new bits in red ink. - if I compleat a new D8 form can I simply write AMENDED APPLICATION on the top fill it out as I did and compleate previously incorrect bits in red?

Your help and time is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Ben
