Hi

I would appreciate some help, please....

I am the petitioner. I have got the paperwork back last week stated stbx is not going to defend the divorce. I have also received the forms D84 and D80b.

Please may I be advised if there is a deadline date / time limit that I have to apply for the Decree Nisi?

Many thanks:)

There's no time limit as such, but unless you are having second thoughts or planning a reconciliation, there's little point in delaying applying for the Nisi.

If you don't apply for the Nisi, then after a minimum period of 6 months has past, the respondent is able to make an application to have the petition dismissed.
