Hi

I am the petitioner and doing it with no solicitors involved on both sides. I have the prenouncement date for Decree Nisi which is sept 1st. We have absolutely nothing to split financially I just want a Clean Break order so nothing can be claimed in the future. Is it possible to do this without solicitors also. My ex and I both agree on this but is it just as simple as writing a letter to that effect and both sign it, or am I just dreaming that it could be that easy.

He is flat out refusing to disclose any financial details to the court.

Does it have to be done by a solicitor. Desperately wanting this whole thing done with asap and don't want this to be the part that holds it up. So far it has gone rather smoothly.

Hope someone can help

Thanks

To get this done legally and so neither of you have any future claims, you need a simple Consent Order. This needs to be approved by the court.

It isn't really a job for an amateur but there are cost effective ways to approach this. This site offers a cost effective simple consent order through our solicitor managed service. Have a look at the services page or give our helpline a call.
